Transport / Vehicle HireThe West Kimberley is well served for the transport of people and goods. All highways to Derby and Fitzroy Crossing are sealed. Roads may occasionally be affected by flooding in the Wet season (November to March).
The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley provide a Road Condition Report that is updated as and when conditions change.
Main Roads Western Australia provide a Traffic and Road Condition Report for the Kimberley Region covering the Great Northern and Victoria Highways and Gibb River Road.

Greyhound Australia coaches arrive at, and depart from, the Derby Visitor Centre daily enroute to Perth and Darwin. Coaches carry freight (www.busfreight.com.au) subject to a load limit of 20kg and a 50cm x 50cm size limit.

Derby Bus Service
The Derby Bus Service provides a scheduled pickup and dropdown service in Derby and Broome three days a week - Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
